Thomas Menke

Thomas was raised going to church on Sundays and was told constantly that he needed Jesus, but he didn’t understand why. He believed that he was already saved because he was baptized as a baby, but had to continue to go to church and be a ‘good person’ in order to maintain his salvation. When Thomas transferred to Houston Baptist University, he went through a “Reinvestigating Jesus” Bible study with Emmanuel Ubadinobi. God revealed his brokenness and how desperately he needed a Savior. After giving his life to Christ, Thomas became more involved with CO and was discipled by Emmanuel and Tim Miles, who taught him how to walk with Jesus and share the gospel with his teammates on the soccer team at HBU. Thomas enjoys seeing teammates and friends come to find joy in knowing the Lord and being satisfied in him.
