Emmanuel grew up in a Christian household in Nigeria. As a child, he believed the only way to escape hell was to behave perfectly. His family moved to the U.S. in 2005 and it wasn’t until his junior year in high school that God showed him  (through his cousin) that good deeds weren’t enough to earn salvation. He was introduced to Campus Outreach as a sophomore at Houston Baptist University and was discipled by Tyler Clark. As he became more involved with CO, he started ministering to his fellow teammates on the HBU soccer team. He recently joined staff and continues to work with college students and athletes.

Julie grew up in Vietnam in a non-religious household where faith was never discussed. She moved to the United States in 2011 as a sophomore in high school. Since she attended a private Christian school, she was required to take a Bible class. For the first time, she learned about God and quickly realized she was a sinner and she needed Jesus to be her Lord and Savior. When Julie got to college, she knew her life’s purpose was to pursue God and tell others about Jesus. After her first summer project with Campus Outreach, she decided to go on staff to share the gospel with college students and see God transform their lives.
